About Joseph Cherny —
Veteran. Electrician. Entrepreneur.
Joseph Cherny is a U.S. Army veteran, licensed Master Electrician (License #14248), and serial entrepreneur based in Baltimore, Maryland. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, he has built one of the most diverse independent business portfolios in the Mid-Atlantic region — encompassing 21 active web properties across five distinct industry verticals.
Joseph's professional journey began with military service in the United States Army, where he trained at the JFK Special Warfare Center & School in Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations, attended the Military Police School, and deployed to operational theaters in Iraq, Kuwait, Germany, and Haiti. His time with the National Security Agency further sharpened his analytical precision, operational security mindset, and ability to execute under pressure — skills that translate directly into how he builds and runs businesses today.
After his military career, Joseph earned his Maryland Master Electrician license and founded Charm City Electric in 2010, a veteran-owned residential and commercial electrical contracting company serving Baltimore and surrounding areas. Known for solving the complex electrical issues that other contractors leave behind — particularly in older homes with aging wiring — Charm City Electric has completed over 5,000 projects and maintains a 4.7-star Google rating and an A+ BBB accreditation.
Building on that foundation, Joseph launched Charm City Interactive, a full-service digital marketing agency offering website development, SEO, Google and Meta advertising, social media management, billboard placements, TV commercials, and logo design. The agency serves small businesses across Maryland and beyond, providing each service independently without bundled pricing.
His e-commerce presence centers on Charm City Retro, a curated vintage electronics and discontinued electrical parts reseller operating through eBay with 99.7% positive feedback and over 1,500 items sold. Joseph also operates Charm City Storage, offering boat, RV, trailer, and vehicle storage in Baltimore starting at $99/month with 24-hour access and video surveillance.
His digital publishing network spans gaming knowledge (Camping Sniper), true crime and forensics (The Evidence Log), paranormal investigation (Paranormal Logic), mind-bending philosophy (Corrupted Logic), and more.
Joseph is also the founder of Military Discount (militarydiscount.net), a veteran-owned national directory connecting service members and their families to verified discounts across all 50 states — a direct extension of his commitment to the veteran community.
Beyond business, Joseph is a lifelong Baltimore sports fan, an avid fisherman, and a strong advocate for veteran entrepreneurship. He lives and operates out of 1818 Willow Spring Road, Baltimore, MD 21222. For partnerships, media inquiries, or business collaboration, contact him directly at Info@JosephCherny.com.
